海女まつりとは？
昭和３９年に第１回目を開催してから半世紀以上続く県下最大の夜祭りで、夏の訪れを告げる風物詩として地元白浜で大切にされているお祭りです。厳島神社のご神体弁財天に、安全と豊穣の祈りを捧げると共に、海で犠牲になった方々の供養でもある海女まつり。白装束に身を包んだ１００人近い海女たちが夜の海に松明を持って泳ぎだす「夜泳」は、幻想的な世界に包まれ、フィナーレの花火は情熱的に夏の訪れを告げます。２０１４年から総合プロデューサーとなったDJ KOUSAKUの演出により岸壁を利用し、海女の松明・映像・音楽・花火・野島埼灯台の5つがコラボするスペクタクルバージョンで生まれ変わった海女まつりは「ちば文化資産」にも認定され、どこにもない千葉県最南端・南房総市白浜町から日本全国、世界に発信するお祭りです。
What is Ama-Matsuri?
Ama-Matsuri was first held in 1964 and is now regarded as the biggest night festival in Chiba. The summer festival marks its 59nd anniversary in 2023. Participants pray for safety and productiveness and hold a religious service for the people killed in the sea. Nearly 100 woman divers swim with torches. The night swimming is very illusory and romantic. The enormous fireworks marks the end of summer. You can now enjoy the night swimming with not only fireworks and music but also images appear on the quay.

野島埼の海には悪龍が住み着き、昔から房州の村人たちを苦しめてきました。海の化身である龍はひたむきに生きる房州の民をあざ笑うかのように襲いかかります。

海女の大夜泳 参加募集について
海女まつりのメイン『海女の夜泳』への参加お待ちしております。近年、現役海女さんの高齢化に伴い夜泳に参加できる数もだいぶ減ってしまいました。海女まつり存続のため是非あなたのお力をお貸しください！！今年も７月１８日（土）・１９日（日）に行う海女の大夜泳に参加協力をよろしくお願い致します。練習を行うので水着を持って１4：００～１５：００までに本部テントにお越しください。また、泳げない方も海女さんの衣装着て参加出来ます！！
同時開催：美味しいグルメとビールで復興支援「まるグル」

●Recruitment of participants for Yaei(night swimming)
Yaei (night swimming): You can join the day of Ama-Matsuri.
*Entry will be permitted only for the certain quota.
You can join the night swimming on 18th and 19th.
Please come to the tent of the head office until 2:00PM～3:00PM.
Please bring your swimming suites to join the practice.
You can join the event by wearing clothes of woman divers even if you can’t swim.
Going on at the same time: Reconstruction Support by having delicious meals and beer 『Maruguru』
